  • Confers with department heads to discuss possible new sales campaigns and promotional opportunities
  • Advises retailers on advertising and promotional programs and develops advertising strategies for these retailers.
  • Negotiates advertising rates and contracts with representatives of various advertising media including print, radio, television and billboard, and advertising agencies.
  • Allocates advertising space to departments or products of organization.
  • Reviews and approves television and radio advertisements before release.
  • Establishes fees for advertising department services.
  • Responsible for Advertising and Marketing budget achievement.
  • Directs department personnel engaged in developing and producing advertisements.
  • Directs research activities concerned with gathering information or with compilation of statistics pertinent to planning and execution of advertising sales promotion campaigns.

  • Monitors and analyzes sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaign.
  • Establishes marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of services.
  • Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of retail stores, as well as C&S Marketing services.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • Plans and oversees the organization's advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
  • Oversees Personalized Marketing program and develops specific marketing programs and strategies in conjunction with retailer participants.
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and share of market performance in relation to established standards and to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy.
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results and that corrective action takes place to achieve marketing objectives within designated budgets.
  • Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs and merchandising policy to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Conducts marketing surveys on current and new service concepts, including consumer research and focus group activities.
  • Prepares marketing activity reports.
  • Provides advice on community relations projects and activities, arranges for company tours, and conducts and interprets customer and public opinion surveys
  • Oversees all creative output as it relates to trade publications and other marketing materials.
  • Plans and oversee weekly marketing meetings, quarterly and annual planning meetings.
  • Maintains relationships with professional services companies; i.e. printer, equipment suppliers, marketing software companies, etc.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the industry and 5 years' management experience
  • Understanding of core competencies of wholesale model; understanding of commodities and how they work
  • Able to lead others and set and communicate direction
  • Negotiation, organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
