THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the key diversity leader, this individual will work to develop a high performing D&I operating model that supports DuPont's mission, lead DuPont's global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategy and work across the enterprise to deliver effective and lasting changes that are aligned to business objectives and ensure smooth operation of D&I processes.
The role requires the ability to influence and inspire others to engage with the D&I agenda; to set strategic direction that includes return driven decisions ; help lead organizational change initiatives, and to support a better flow of information.
The D&I leader will play a significant role in short and long term organizational planning including developing a program budget, managing a team that provides D&I support services, oversight of vendor relationships, and managing logistics in a transformational culture.
Your key responsibilities:
Work closely with senior-level leaders and HRBPs to build a comprehensive D&I strategy that responds to a dynamic market environment and positions D&I as a capability throughout the global organization.
Provide thought-leadership focused on developing innovative and business focused D&I programs and initiatives that go beyond representation and advance growth synergies.
Ensure strategic alignment of D&I objectives across the enterprise. Work closely with business unit and functional leaders to ensure that D&I is woven into the company's core processes/practices and conforms to DuPont's Core Values and Guiding Principles.
Work with the Chief HR Officer and other members of the executive leadership team to establish annual and measurable D&I objectives and goals, and then create a process for holding leaders accountable through KPI's and metrics.
Create monthly, quarterly and annual diversity metrics; gather and analyze data and produce reports to provide progress against diversity metrics and action plans.
Partner with the other COE Leaders (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Learning, Talent Management), HRBPs, global leaders/teams and employee/resource groups to drive a diverse talent pipeline and organization performance through diversity.
Look for innovative ways to build DuPont's D&I strategy into business processes such as talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement and retention.
Partner and support Talent Management, Learning and HRBP's to drive programs that integrate diversity into compensation practices and performance review processes.
Contribute to the development of a compelling employer brand to attract and retain diverse talent.
Promote visibility and image of D&I through all communication with staff and partners via intranet/web pages, recruitment branding and working with partners across the globe on diversity and engagement.
Astutely communicate both internally and externally on behalf of the organization around D&I initiatives, results and opportunities that support organic growth and drive brand awareness.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded business leader that understands the complexities of operating effectively in a large global organization and has driven the process of implementing robust D&I and change management programs.
Experience in driving programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization as well developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a large global organization leading and teams and driving change and innovation.
Prior experience developing an evidence based diversity strategy that identifies gaps, combined with a track record of successful implementation and execution of the strategy.
Demonstrated ROI of workplace diversity by linking data to business outcomes.
Advanced communications and public speaking competencies, dynamic presenter both in small or large group settings.
Must be an excellent program manager that's able to interpret and translate business initiatives into effective and pragmatic programs.
Ability to understand, interpret data, and perform analysis related to key metrics.
Strong analytical, problem solving, time management, organizational, interpersonal and listening skills.
Ability to interact and collaborate with employees and management across all levels as an advocate for diversity.
Ability to work independently and as a team member that has influencing skilsl and emotional intelligence.
Knowledge of HR principles, practices and affirmative action/equal employment laws and regulations.
Knowledge of talent management and change management practices and concepts.
Bachelor's degree required with a Master's degree preferred.
