POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for designing, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of data analysis applications within the FedEx Freight segment through accurate and timely data acquisition and analysis; Develop analytical reporting/application(s) to facilitate performance improvement and assist leadership in data driven, fact based decision making
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Assess business data application request to determine best technology solution and assist peers in advising business partners 2. Work closely with functional departments and Operations to design and update reports compliant with requirements of the requestor 3. Document, perform testing and identify application flaws through development process 4. Participate in design and code reviews 5. Perform maintenance, application loads, and troubleshooting, as needed 6. Support Strategic Planning & Support functions including Customer Support, Program Management and Service Assurance by analyzing data and reporting results to improve customer experience and operational efficiencies 7. Perform research and analysis through the use of data acquisition, statistical modeling techniques, and system development 8. Identify and develop solutions that support improved business performance (e.g. SQL, C#, Crystal Reports, Web Applications, Spotfire, Informatica, or related programming/tool platform) 9. Design database business logic, user interface, and maintenance plan for all approved and executed technology projects 10. Develop and analyze statistical reports and identify trends to assist in the identification of opportunities to improve performance using SQL, SAS, Crystal Reports, Minitab, or other related programming/tool platform 11. Build and maintain solid relationships with management and business process owners throughout FedEx Freight and FedEx organization 12. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures 13. Perform other duties as required
