Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.. We're looking for a strategic, creative, passionate, and optimistic naming expert to help us name the many things we make and do. You'll be a core member of the Brand Management team, responsible for developing names and naming systems for products, features, programs, initiatives, events, and more.. Know the user. Responsibilities. Lead and oversee the name creation process for individual names and naming systems across the company, including developing name strategies and criteria, generating names, coordinating shortlisting and master lists, helping teams understand process and timelines, and presenting and recommending names to internal clients. Articulate a strategic point of view and recommendation for why a name/naming architecture makes sense. Manage multiple naming requests and partner with teams across our organization, guiding them through the naming process. Manage third-party creative agencies in the name creation process.
