The Senior Problem, Incident and Event Management Engineer drives technical support teams to provide adequate monitoring and alerting coverage for key technology platforms/applications. The Senior Problem, Incident and Event Management Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Problem, Incident and Event Management Engineer establishes policies, processes and systems for the implementation of a quality event management process. Monitors trends to proactively analyze, identify, and communicate top opportunities for improvement in key metrics. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
The Senior Problem, Incident and Event Management Engineer will be responsible for strategic advancement and maturation of Enterprise IT Monitoring processes. This role will also track progress with key metrics that will demonstrate value and return on investments for monitoring tools and processes. The Engineer will research potential integration points between IT teams regarding monitoring and alerting and work on creating synergies between all stakeholders.
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equal experience * Five years of relevant experience * Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Visio * Experience in problem analysis and process documentation * Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative teams
* Previous experience in the health care industry * Previous experience with proactive monitoring of technology platforms/applications * Leadership experience
