JobDescription : The Role: People Consultant The People team will be breaking down the internal functional walls building agile teams who will be responsible for key, prioritized projects to drive value to the business and respond to critical business needs. Like a consulting group, they will tackle problems breaking down ambiguous, unstructured problems and working with the People function and our business leaders to come to creative, innovation solutions. The Agile methodology will push teams to speed, engage the capabilities of the whole team and put people first in all they do. Acting as a consultant and advisor to the business, the team will create and execute strategies to meet business needs. Team will analyze challenges, prioritize issues, collect and analyze data, and develop and implement innovative solutions. Problems will be sourced from business strategy and issues across all areas in HR including, but not limited to, Talent Management, Culture, Organizational Effectiveness, Total Rewards, Analytics and M&A. The Location: New York, NY, Charlottesville, VA, or other S&P Global offices Accountabilities: The People Consultant will contribute to and support the execution on these key priorities working as a member of the team. They will be responsible for executing project plan, owning and managing individual modules on the project. [Problem solving]: Break a problem into its small, modular pieces to develop a methodical approach to solution. Listens to understand problem, its components and interdependencies Develops solutions, deep data analysis, synthesize messages Proactively find solutions Considers a multitude of outcomes and implications and how they relate to the business outcomes [Project Management]: Build and execute a project plan including: project timeline, interdependencies, key owners and stakeholders. Execute project tasks and manages project plan with guidance from manager Can manage to deadlines Communicate potential risks [Communication]: Strong written and verbal communication including storytelling and slide writing.
