Job Title: : Outbound Transportation Planning Analyst Division: Logistics Job Summary: Optimize TMS outbound store delivery solution, evaluate and modify as needed. Communicates the outbound plan to the Service Providers in the service centers and DCs. Analyzes and reports on carrier compliance. Partners with Service Provider to modify routing solution to ensure optimal routing of freight on a day to day basis. Establishes and develops strong, consistent working relationships with Service center providers. Responsible for ensuring carrier compliance in partnership with the transportation manager overseeing the center. Major Areas of Responsibility: Communicates with Service providers and Recycling operations on a daily basis to obtain merchandise pallets and recycling pallets to be shipped to the stores. Uploads this data into the TMS routing tool daily and obtains the optimal solution. This information will then be evaluated and modified to achieve the optimal daily solution. Daily routes will be provided to the service provider to execute the daily store runs. Analyzes and reports on carrier compliance to the dynamically routed solution. Reports and tracks performance daily- weekly. Partner with service provider on non-compliance and develop a plan of action for resolving non-compliance to the daily routing plan. Solicits feedback from the Service providers and Recycling operations team on any opportunities to improve service. Decision Making: Outbound load optimization. Pallet disbursement to the stores. Minimum formal education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics or Transportation preferred, or equivalent job experience Transportation courses a plus Minimum job skills required to perform this job: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of domestic transportation practices and regulations Knowledge of Transportation Management System Knowledge/Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Knowledge TMS routing tools.
