What youll be doing...

Were looking for you to help grow our business. Youll oversee all proposal activities from assigning the right team members to a proposal to creating the template through to delivery of a well-written, competitive proposal. Youll lead and guide the proposal team throughout the process, and manage their schedules and the review cycle. Your role is critical to our success in pursuing and capturing new business.

  • Project managing the proposal process from start to finish.
  • Assigning the right proposal leaders and team members to the right proposals.
  • Designing the template, planning, resourcing, tracking, and orchestrating activities to generating content through to proposal production.
  • Analyzing Requests for Proposals, identifying all requirements, criteria, and gaps, and preparing the proposal outline.
  • Ensuring that the proposal is on track via regular status meetings and conducting key reviews.
  • Polishing the final proposal ensuring its accuracy, compliance, and most importantly, its effectiveness at solving the customer need and conveying why we are the right choice.

    Position Summary:

    To execute and improve the proposal strategy for VZC Global Proposals (VZCGP) that optimizes customer acquisition and expansion. Intake, evaluate, prepare and respond to all proposal requests for VZC Globally across all products/platforms. Including but not limited to Reveal, WORK, Workforce, Fleet, Networkfleet and any future platforms or products, both for the Commercial and Government portions of VZC

    Collaborate intimately with the Managing Partners, Associate Directors and Directors of All VZC Segments, and serve as the go-to source for Proposals within VZC to maintain global consistency. Partner closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Product, Accounting and other functions to ensure timely, accurate responses globally and drive efficiencies in our RF response process. Continuously monitor the funnel conversions from intake through to customers decision ensuring VZC is positioned to win.

    To design and optimize the process, procedures, systems and programs for VZC commercial and government sales. Sales Enablement measures, builds, advances and optimizes the sales process to drive efficiency, effectiveness and overall productivity.

    Youll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Government proposal writing experience.
  • Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience as Proposal Manager with Shipley process knowledge.
  • Public Sector Cloud Computing and Data Center soliciting and proposal experience.
  • Experience managing proposal efforts in a government contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of trends and marketing/media tools related todriving deep engagement with various consumers.
  • A PMP certification.
  • Responsibilities:

    -Revenue Driving: Responsible for Global responses for all products and platforms within VZC.

    -Sales Leader Partnership: Partners intimately with the Managing Partners, Associate Directors and Directors of all VZC segments, including government. Implements and manages high-impact, scalable, and best-practice proposal response process globally.

    -Proposal Sales Enablement: Design, develop and deliver world class RFP/RFI tools, materials and programs for performance reporting, forecasting, pipeline conversion, RF management, Government policy compliance (both Federal and State/Local) and RF response library.

    -Enablement Partnerships: Partners with internal functional leaders to seek out and make improvements to processes and systems that affect proposal response speed and capacity, like pricing, legal/contracts, accounting, training, compensation and marketing, ultimately resulting in leadership buy-in and revenue growth.

    Requirements:


    -Basic understanding of the SaaS industry

    -Basic understanding of the Government (Federal or Local/State) sales requirements

    -Analytical thinking: analyze requests and determine the correct response path for success.

    -Detail Oriented: presentation skills, written communication, technical documentation, layout skills, problem solving, deadline-oriented, process improvement, coordination, strategic planning, market knowledge

    -Adaptability: mental agility, comfort with ambiguity, and the capacity to change old behaviors in light of new evidence

    -Intellectual Curiosity: Continuous drive to solve problems and make improvements. Agile thinking and rapid execution.
